The Minister welcomed the Das Boot Production Team and expressed that this is a proven example of how Malta is being resilient even during these tough times. Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection Clayton Bartolo said that the Government of Malta is currently laying foundations and necessary groundwork for Malta Film Studios to be equipped with the first soundstages in Malta, making it more attractive to film makers. ” Grech also mentioned how our local film industry kept working and our ambition is to turn occasional job opportunities into careers, for the many not the few. Das Boot’s production in Malta consists of over 800 production crew, cast and extras.
